Our Story

Property Management Portugal (PMP) was created with a clear purpose: to give homeowners in Portugal a complete and effortless way to care for their properties.

Our story begins with a meaningful partnership between two industry leaders: Tripwix Vacation Rentals, specialists in handpicked, high-end short-term stays, and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property, one of the most trusted names in Portuguese real estate. Together, they saw a gap in the market: a need for a service that goes beyond the basics. One that’s trustworthy, transparent, and truly full-service.

With this in mind, Property Management Portugal was born: a company built on three essential pillars of homeownership: property care, rental income, and real estate support. All in one place. All handled with care.

We call it a 360º solution – from the day-to-day upkeep of your home to preparing it for guests, and offering guidance when you’re ready to buy, sell, or simply make your property work better for you.

The Founders

Francisco Bessa

Francisco built a successful career in financial services, serving on the boards of Inversis Bank (Spain) and Orey (Portugal), both active in global finance and logistics. In 2016, he founded Tripwix, a luxury villa rental platform focused on U.S. clients, known for its high-end service and bespoke experiences.

Miguel Carvalho

Miguel is the co-founder of Tripwix and brings over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality and property management. He owns and operates property management companies in both Portugal and Punta Mita (Mexico), and is known for delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions in some of the world’s most exclusive destinations.

Michael Vincent

Michael built a successful international real estate career, founding Portugal Property – whose success led to an invitation to join the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices global network. Over the past 15 years, his company has sold over €1.5 billion in property, becoming one of Portugal’s largest independently owned real estate firms.
